The 2026 wildfires have affected individuals, families, and communities across northwestern Ontario. In response, volunteer clinicians are donating their professional time to provide up to four pro bono psychotherapy sessions for people directly impacted by the fires.
Services are available in person in Thunder Bay and virtually across Ontario.

Flexible Appointments
Meet with a clinician in person in Thunder Bay or virtually anywhere in Ontario.
Confidential Care
Your appointments are confidential and follow the same professional and privacy standards as any other psychotherapy service.
At your final session, you and your clinician will discuss next steps. If additional support would be beneficial, available options for ongoing care will be reviewed with you. Continued pro bono services cannot be guaranteed.
This program is intended to provide short-term psychological support following the 2026 northwestern Ontario wildfires.
If longer-term therapy would be beneficial, your clinician will discuss available options with you.
This program is not an emergency or crisis service. If you are concerned about your immediate safety or the safety of someone else, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.
The emotional effects of a wildfire can continue long after the immediate danger has passed. You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, grieving, exhausted, or simply finding it difficult to adjust.
Whether you were evacuated, lost your home, are supporting loved ones, or served as a first responder, psychological support can help you process what you've experienced and begin moving forward.
You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy.
